１０月初	１０日程	カナダ留学セミナーに参加。現地各語学学校担当者に色々話を聞きまくる。
１０月初	２週間	エージェントと初接触。これよりしばらくの間学校選びをする
１０月初	２週間	加古川の英語同好会？に通い始める。英語だけの会話に圧倒されまくり。
１０月中	３週間	明石の英会話学校「イーオン」に通い始める。２週目より、長年抱き続けていた英語アレルギーが消え去る。

１１月末	２ヶ月	カナダに持っていくＰＣを購入する。ノートで２５万円。我が家の１５台目のＰＣとなる。
１２月初	２ヵ月半	野村證券に英語表記の残高証明書を申請する。
１２月末	３ヶ月	野村證券より英文残高証明書が届く。株式の表記が単元株単位（VeriSign K. K. 1.shareとか）になっていることに驚く。
１２月末	３ヶ月	コムサで旅行カバンを買う。その額１５００円。これで十分・・やろ？

１２月末	３ヶ月	Embassy of Canada 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　January 5, 2004 To Whom it may concern I did not like English. I studied English for about 15 years. But I didn't have enthusiasm at studying it. I didn't have the feelings to want to speak it, either. Therefore, I could not acquire English. Rather, I got to dislike it gradually. I had two turning points about enthusiasm at studying English. The 1st one happened 2 years ago. My girlfriend in the those days spoke English fluently and she was very sociable. Therefore, I often went out with the foreign people. But I could not speak English. I could not communicate with them satisfactorily. I regretted about the thing. But at the same time, I gave up speaking English. Because she could speak it very well. The 2nd one happened 2 months ago. My friend got a job to work at the counting-house in Los Angeles. That was unbelievable. The time hearing the story from him, I felt that I want to study English strongly. Now, I strongly want to study English. Then, I want to become a man who is able to communicate with people speaking English. I have a plan to study in Canada for 9 months, and come back to Japan to get a new job. I chose Canada for the place to study English, because of its higher education system, less expensive living cost, and clearer pronunciation of English. Also, my friends say it is a wonderful and peaceful country to study. I applied English course at Vancouver　International College for only 3 months first to see the studying environment. ２月１４日	４ヶ月半	イーオンの先生の勧めにより、英単語を覚える事に力を入れ始める。まずは中学単語から。自分の単語力のなさに愕然。中級単語の段階で引っかかりまくり。まだ上級・準超級・超級と続くのに・・・。今まで英語からとにかく逃げてきたツケが現れる。
２月１９日	４ヵ月半	会社の同じ課のみんなとの飲み会。みんな、ありがとう。
２月２０日	４ヵ月半	会社への最終出勤。実感あまり湧かず。　この日、偶然の出来事が起こる。この日の終業を知らせる会社の時計のベルが、いつもと違い力無く鳴ったと思ったら・・そのまま止まってしまった。　正直かなり驚いた。　そう言えば、この時計は昔私が買ってきた物・・・
３月２日	５ヵ月	京都八坂神社前の「ようじや」にて日本土産を購入。石鹸と紙石鹸。・・どない？　Japanese soaps are best quality in the world.その様に聞いたのだが。
３月２４日	６ヵ月	ホストファミリー決定！場所は見晴らしのいいノースバンクーバー It has a lovely view and you can see Vancouver Island. との事。lovelyっていいわぁ。ADSL回線も完備！期待たっぷり夢たっぷり！ John & Marian, I want to meet you early !
３月３０日	６ヵ月	車の免許の更新と国際運転免許の取得を行う。　私の誕生日は１１月の為、普通この時期に更新は出来ない。が、特別な事情があれば「特例更新」なる方法にて更新が出来るとの事で、今回「カナダ留学」を元に更新を行った。　国際免許、取ったはいいが使うやろか？いや、使ってみたい。
３月３０日	６ヵ月	Marianよりメールを戴く。御二人の事が詳細に書かれていて大感激！こちらも負けじと予定より長い文章の返事を書いてみた。簡単な文章なのだが、もちろんえらく苦労する。　言うまでもなく、やさしい戸川さんのお助け付き。 Dear John & Marian : Greetings from Japan. ４月３日	６ヵ月	風邪薬、鎮痛剤、胃薬、トローチなど大量に買い込む。総額8000円分！買いすぎ？しかし、頭痛持ちの私としては、これでも足りるかどうか心配・・・。
４月６日	６ヵ月半	三ノ宮の三井住友銀行外貨両替コーナーにて日本円とカナダドルとの両替を行う。
４月７日	６ヵ月半	大阪駅前の大型カメラ店にてカナダドルのトラベラーズチェックを入手。シティのキャッシュカードやクレジットカードがあるし、特に必要ないと思っていたが、「使うのも経験」と思って入手しておいた。現金よりもレートがいいのも理由の1つ。
４月８日	６ヵ月半	私のエージェント「ウィンテック留学センター」戸川さんとの最終ミーティング。あぁとうとうここまで来てしまった。　戸川さんの手助けがなかったら、ここまで来るのは厳しかったやろなぁ。導いて戴きありがとうございました。行って参ります！
４月１５日	６ヵ月半	別便の荷物の発送を行う。郵便局の「EMS」にて発送の為、早ければ４日程で着くとの事。重さ２２．６kgで28300円。本や服などたくさん積み込んだ為高くつくと思ったのだが、想像より安かった。　先に行って待ってるで。
４月１６日	６ヵ月半	１ヶ月半のデイトレーダー生活が終わる。　金融資産を留学費用分としてかなり余分に銀行預金に振り向けていた為投資に使う金額は少なくなっていたのだが、留学費用の半分以上をまかなう事が出来る程、予定以上に稼ぐことが出来た。胃が痛くなる事もよくあったが結果は万々歳。株式や商品先物等の投資を始めて既に６年以上になるが、この期間ほど、群集心理を肌に感じた事はなかったし、精神を落ち着かせる事の重要さを感じた事もなかった。　将来にもつながるいい経験をしたものだ。
４月１８日	６ヵ月半	カナダへ出発！！　とうとうこの日がやってきた。前日の17日になってやっと実感が湧きだした状態で、ちょっとドタバタしてしまった。しかしこの日、無事に出発できそうだ。　エールを送ってくれたみんな、どうもありがとう！　精一杯頑張り、精一杯楽しんでくるぞ！　行って来ます！　以降は、「留学日記」にて。
